Thực hiện quy định tại Điềurn56 của Luật Điều ước quốc tế năm 2016, Bộ Ngoại giao trân trọng thông báo:

Bản ghi nhớ giữarnChính phủ nước Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam và Chính phủ Ma-lai-xia liênrnquan đến đa dạng sinh học và kiến thức truyền thống của Hiệp định Đối tác Toànrndiện và Tiến bộ xuyên Thái Bình Dương, ký ngày 08 tháng 3rnnăm 2018 tại San-ti-a-gô đờ Chi-lê, có hiệu lực từ ngày 29 tháng 11 năm 2022.

Bộ Ngoại giao trân trọng gửi bản sao Bảnrnghi nhớ theo quy định tại Điều 59 của Luật nêu trên./.

UNDERSTANDINGrnREGARDING BIODIVERSITY AND TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE

The Government of the SocialistrnRepublic of Viet Nam and the Government of Malaysia have reached the followingrnunderstanding concerning biodiversity and traditional knowledge in connectionrnwith the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-PacificrnPartnership (the “Agreement”) done at Santiago on 8 March 2018:

The Government of the SocialistrnRepublic of Viet Nam and the Government of Malaysia recognise that access torntraditional knowledge associated to genetic resources, as well as the equitablernsharing of benefits that may result from the utilisation of that traditionalrnknowledge, can be adequately addressed through contracts or other instrumentsrndut reflect mutually agreed terms between users and providers.

This understanding between the twornGovernments will enter into force on the date of entry into force of thernAgreement for both the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and Malaysia.
